Pet Travel
The pet travel scheme has changed. You to travel to various, mainly European, countries with your pet. We have produced a fact sheet which you can download here and there are several steps in the process:
- Microchipping
- Rabies vaccination
- Issuing of a pet passport
One of the worse diseases that dogs can contract if travelling to southern Europe is Leishmaniasis. the is now a vaccine available for protection against this killer disease, for more information see the Virbac CanLeish pdf file.
The entire process can take at least 6 months till your pet is free to come and go so prior planning is essential.
